What is an OEUK Exam?
The OEUK medical examination is a standardized health assessment required for anyone working on offshore installations in the UK Continental Shelf or under similar jurisdiction. The exam determines whether a worker is medically and physically capable of handling the rigors of offshore living and employment.
Some companies also require OEUK clearance for workers on vessels, drilling platforms, or overseas job sites—even outside the UK.
What’s Included in the OEUK Medical Exam
Your evaluation will include:
- Full medical history review
- Physical examination
- Height, weight, and BMI calculation
- Vision and color vision testing
- Hearing test (audiometry)
- Blood pressure and pulse check
- Urinalysis (to detect underlying medical issues)
- Drug and alcohol testing (if required by employer)
We also provide Fit to Train certificates for in-water survival training (if needed).
If the exam is passed, we issue a valid OEUK certificate, typically valid for 2 years unless health conditions require closer monitoring.
