Our Team

Dr. Steven J. Fishburn is board certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine and has extensive experience certifying workers in safety-sensitive and specialized occupations, including firefighters, police officers, security personnel, commercial drivers, crane operators, marine workers, and oil field personnel.

Dr. Fishburn is certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration as a Medical Examiner and is authorized to perform Department of Transportation examinations. He is also a designated Civil Surgeon for the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and performs immigration medical examinations. In addition, he is certified to conduct OEUK medical examinations for offshore oil workers.

Dr. Fishburn has completed the Federal Aviation Administration Aviation Medical Examiner course and is authorized to perform Class I, Class II, and Class III aviation medical examinations as well as BasicMed examinations for private pilots. He holds additional board certifications in Medical Toxicology and Addiction Medicine and is certified through the FAA HIMS program, which provides structured evaluation and monitoring for pilots recovering from substance use disorders.
